ROTARY'S VETERANS PARK

The first project undertaken by the Granada Hills Rotary Foundation was the refurbishment and enhancement of the "veterans park" at the intersection of Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue. Under the direction of Carl B. Melnik, OD, the "Granada Hills Veterans' Park" now exists, complete with bronze statue, flagpoles, brick walkway, pergola, and landscaping. Under an agreement with the City of Los Angeles, our Foundation continues to maintain the Park now and into the future.

With Honor and Gratitude: A Tradition Since 2010

Since 2010, we have remained committed to honoring the men and women of the Armed Services by ensuring that this important moment of recognition is preserved with the respect and gratitude it deserves. These brave individuals have, in many cases, risked everything—enduring separation from family, physical and emotional hardship, and even the ultimate sacrifice—to defend the freedoms we enjoy and uphold the values that define our way of life. It is our duty and privilege to ensure their service is not only remembered but celebrated with the dignity it merits.

Little Free Library

The Little Free Library is a community book exchange where anyone is welcome to participate. The concept is simple: take a book if you see one you'd like to read, and leave a book if you have one to share. There’s no need to check books in or out—just browse, borrow, and enjoy at your own pace. When you’re done, feel free to return the book or pass it on to someone else. By contributing gently used books, you help keep the library stocked and accessible for everyone. It’s an easy way to promote reading, share stories, and connect with your neighborhood.
